TOGETHER FOR DYSLEXIA

Dyslexia Advice and Support in East Sussex & Kent

Our Initiatives

Dyslexia South East (CIC) is a community-led initiative from Dyslexia South East, supporting access, inclusion, and early help for families living with dyslexia.

Based in Bexhill on Sea, we provide advice and support to families and individuals across the South East of England throughout East Sussex and Kent.

Through projects like our Dyslexia Café and Together for Dyslexia fund, we’re building a connected, compassionate community where every learner, regardless of background, can access the understanding and support they deserve.

Dyslexia Cafe

Join us at DYSLEXIA CAFE
Free, Friendly Advice and Support
Dyslexia South East CIC are passionate about social action and ensuring that everyone in our community has access to the help and advice they need to support themselves, and their families with the challenges of living with dyslexia.

That's why we offer Informal Coffee Mornings at local, relaxed venues in your local area. Check out our social media Facebook Page for details of the next Dyslexia Café near you.

Each session is open to all: a welcoming space to share experiences, ask questions, and find reassurance among others who understand.

Community Dyslexia Support Workshops

At Dyslexia South East CIC, we believe that understanding creates confidence: for parents, carers, and everyone who supports people with dyslexia or SEND in our community.

That’s why we offer a programme of low-cost workshops designed to share practical strategies, build awareness, and strengthen everyday support for learners of all ages.

Sessions cover a range of topics throughout the year, from reading and memory to confidence and classroom inclusion.

Check our Dyslexia South East CIC Facebook page for the latest calendar of workshops and booking details.

CPD and Training

At Dyslexia South East (CIC) we recognise that whilst early detection and early intervention is critical, it is only effective if teachers and support staff know how to react to the needs of dyslexic children.

We work with schools to deliver high quality, training and professional development workshops which are designed to maximise impact of strategic dyslexia friendly interventions.

These sessions can be combined with a themed parent focussed workshop on the school sight to ensure that parents are in the prime position to support new initiatives being developed in the classroom.
