SUMMARY:Dyslexia Café (Bexhill) 21st March 2026: Memory\, Focus & Learning That Sticks
DESCRIPTION:✨ Our March Dyslexia Café: Memory\, Focus & Learning That Sticks ✨\nPre-book your free ticket here:\n \nIf you’ve been to one of our Dyslexia Cafés before\, this will feel reassuringly familiar.\n🪷The same calm\, welcoming space.\n🙂The same friendly faces.\n💬The same opportunity to talk things through in person\, over tea and coffee\, with professional support on hand.☕ \nFrom 2026\, all of our Dyslexia Cafés include a short\, gentle opening session to help frame the morning and spark conversation. It’s not a lesson\, not a lecture\, and not school. It’s simply a shared starting point\, designed to make sense of things that many people quietly struggle with every day. \nFor our March Dyslexia Café\, we’ll be exploring memory\, focus\, and why learning so often feels harder than it should. We’ll gently consider questions such as:\n• why remembering can feel so difficult\n• why focus is so hard to sustain\n• what genuinely helps information stick\, without adding more effort or pressure \nThe opening session runs from 9:45–10:15\, allowing time to arrive\, settle in\, and grab a drink. After that\, the space is open for conversation\, questions\, and one-to-one or family consultations with our specialist team until midday. \nYou’re very welcome to come for the opening session\, drop in later for advice\, or simply stay to talk things through. There’s no expectation to do it all. \nThis café is for adults\, parents\, and families. You don’t need a diagnosis. You don’t need to know the right words yet. If memory\, focus\, or learning have always felt like hard work\, you are very welcome here. \n📍 Beulah Baptist Church (Buckhurst Suite)\, Bexhill\n📅 Saturday 21 March 2026\n⏰ From 9:30am (opening session 9:45–10:15)\n🎟 Free to attend | Drop-ins welcome (booking recommended if you’d like 1:1 time) \nWe’re really looking forward to welcoming both familiar faces and new ones.

During busy events\, one to one consultations may need to be limited to 10-15 minutes.\nIf you would like to arrange a community subsidised screener\, please contact us via WhatsApp\, email or Facebook with your booking number and we will reserve a screening voucher for you.\n\nAbout Our Screeners \nOur screeners are individually tailored and carried out by a specialist assessor. They are suitable for both children and adults and can be adapted depending on your situation\, whether you are in school\, at work\, navigating co occurring needs\, or exploring whether a full diagnostic assessment might be the right next step. \nScreeners can be used to:\n• provide targeted feedback for schools or home support• identify key areas of need and practical next steps• help you decide whether a full assessment would be beneficial• offer clarity for individuals with complex or overlapping profiles \nEach screener combines a short assessment with discussion so that your context\, history and strengths are included in the picture\, not just scores. Screeners are not a full diagnostic assessment; screeners cannot diagnose dyslexia or dyscalculia. They offer a risk of dyslexia (e.g. low or no risk\, possible risk\, high risk). \nPricing and Funded Support \nScreeners at the Café are offered at a discounted rate of £45\, subsidised by community funding. The standard fee\, through our sister company (Dyslexia South East) without community funding is £95. \nWe never want cost to be a barrier. A small number of community funded screeners are available and may be allocated at our discretion for families experiencing financial hardship or significant need. Additional financial support may also be possible with appropriate evidence of circumstances. If you feel you may need help\, please get in touch – we will always do our best to support you with compassion and without judgement. \nScreeners are provided through our sister company\, Dyslexia South East\, and are available to all visitors to the Café. \nCommunity Raffle\nEveryone who signs in on the day (either through our online booking form or using a paper form at the event) will be entered into our Community Raffle. The draw will take place at 12pm. \nPrizes include: \n\nThree fully funded Community CIC screeners\nOne hour of specialist consultation or support\nA £45 discount towards a full diagnostic assessment\n\nThese prizes are offered to help make support accessible to as many people as possible. \nVenue\nOre Community Centre\nThe Ore CentreA warm\, inclusive community venue with a friendly on-site café and comfortable spaces – ideal for conversation\, learning and support.
